1939 Buick Ambulance
 We
saw this beauty on EBay and couldn't resist having a little fun in Photoshop.
The roof rack and red lights have to go.

 Well,
what do you think? We figured a traditional 2-3 inch top chop was in order
and then decided to section 2-3 inches from the beltline. If you look
closer, you will notice the sirens are gone and the head lights were removed and
replaced with molded in units. A little touch up on the running boards, add some Limo
tint to the windows and Voila'. We'll do some searching for rims and see what a set of 18-20 inch sneakers
look like on this long, low ride.
Now
it gets interesting. We decided to lay back the windshield, lay the
Tailgate forward and lay the post on the back doors forward. We also
channeled the body over the frame and cut down the rocker panels. At the
same time we moved the fenders up. While we were at it, we removed the chrome
trim from the beltline. I am leaning towards a one piece hood. We
tried a bunch of Billet wheels and just couldn't find any worth putting on this
project. For now...the Red Steelies stay.
A
little more tweaking in PhotoShop and we are almost there. We took some of
the arch out of the top, leaned that rear hatch forward even more and cleaned up
the lines around the windows.
Kudos
to Flexicoker from the H.A.M.B for the "Color adjustment". Decided it
would look good sitting a few inches lower.
I guess now it's time to put away the keyboard and get busy fabricating this
beauty.
